Hey hey, today nak blog about my trip to Sydney recently. It was a family trip, sekali dengan my sister's graduation. We dont usually travel outside Malaysia, so it was quite an excitement to us. :)
And so, my family went on first on Friday. My flight was on the next day as hubby didnt want to apply work leave on Friday. This was the first time for me to fly with a baby in my arms and in my tummy. Hihi. Before flight took off, I was quite nervous that Asyran would buat perangai, nangis. I gave him flu medicine an hour before flight took off as prescribed by pediatrician. Thank God, he slept at the time of flight taking off and landing. Pheww.
It was 15 degrees in Sydney when we landed. Sejuukk. We stayed in a gorgeous apartment in Randwick and my sister had arranged on car rental for our convenient to move around. The next day we went to Paddy's Market. Great place to shop for souvenirs ! Macam ala-ala Petaling Street. Our plan for the night to go to Vivid Sydney Festival at Sydney Opera House, but we had to patah balik. The traffic jam was bad and it was hard to get a parking spot. So, we just had dinner - indian food.

The next day, we went to Sydney Opera House. Great weather, clear blue sky, breathtaking view. Grab ourselves lattes and hang out at Opera Bar eating french fries. Later, we went on a ferry to Darling Harbour to go to Madame Tussauds and Wildlife Park. At night, we decided to go to the Vivid Festival by bus. The festival was basically like, ada decorative lampu-lampu projected to buildings and Sydney Opera House, ada macam-macam art pieces, etc.

On to the third day, we went to Bondi Beach. Breathtaking view it is. The beach was gorgeous. Later at night, we went to Lakemba, a place where you can find many Halal food, many Muslims. We strolled down the street and had our dinner at this Pakistan/Indian restaurant plus baklava as dessert.

As a first timer in Sydney/Australia, I realized some things that are different or could not find in Malaysia. We noticed that there were no motor-motor kapcai on the road. Throughout my trip there, I rasa I nampak 2-3 motor je on the road, tu pun motor vespa, superbike. And another thing, they dont cilok-cilok to go to the front of the traffic. Elok je betul2 kat belakang kereta. Nampak kelakar and skema. Hehe. I noticed that the pedestrians are given priority. There's a special road lane and route for bus and taxi, that's why they are on time. I think this should be implemented in Malaysia to encourage use of public transport.
Furthermore, there is such thing as self service payment counter in supermarkets. Cool ! We went to supermarkets like Coles, Big W, KMart (macam ala-ala Jusco, Tesco). So the self service macam kena scan the stuff sendiri, masukkan dalam plastic bag sendiri and payment macam autopay gitu, masuk duit dalam that machine. Cool gila ! Jakun pulak kan. Haha.
So, all and all it was a great trip. These are few pics je. There are lots more on Facebook and Instagram. :)
Looking forward to explore other places in Australia! :)
Love,
Ziana
