SOHOBiz 2013 was held on April 13th last saturday at Royal Lake Club. In just one week, we the TLC team successfully managed to organize and extend invitations to the public for over 500 people. Yes, this shows the bonding we have not only as teammates but as brothers and sisters.
The turnouts were great! By end of the session, it was full house! Mana taknya, our speakers yang ada hebat2. Salha Zain and Irfan Khairi!
Kak Lily did great as the emcee. She shared her story how she got into the biz. Back then, she was in a corporate world with no time for her children. This biz provides her time freedom yang dia nakkan all this while. Cerita dia touching. Sob sob. SOHOBiz started with chicken dance, as usual. That's how TLC do it to boost participants' energy. :)
My dearest mentor, Salha Zain gave a talk on how her life has changed from zero to a hero. She started this biz with only RM14.60 in her account, unsupportive husband, anak kecik2 lagi, no savings. But that didnt turn her down. Becoz dia betul2 nak sangat, she went for it! And look where she is now. Earning 6-figure salary. And yet so humble!
Irfan Khairi gave a powerful talk in his 2 hour session. First time actually dengar dia bercakap. Omg laju gila dia cakap, macam bullet train. Tapi best sangat dengar, sebab mostly benda yang tak pernah tau. Tak puas dengar. To those yang tak kenal Irfan Khairi, he is an internet millionaire, TV & radio personality, ada online biz sendiri, give talk and seminar to public. In his session tu, dia ajar how to use internet effectively for biz. Tips on website, blog, search engines, facebook. He gave tips on promoting, marketing, successful biz etc. Unfortunately, he had to leave early, so tak sempat amik pics ngan die. Takpe, kalau next time ada seminar dia, i sanggup bayar nak pegi.
The last session was the TLC testimonials from various personal backgrounds. Started with Kak Ieda, huwaaa memang touching sangat cerita dia. Nak mengalir air mata dengar. Dia dari family yang sangat2 susah, nak tolong mak ayah, adik beradik..tapi gaji kerja makan gaji memang la tak cukup. Her performance in this biz has been excellent from the very beginning, eventhough dia tak pandai cakap pasal biz. Sales beratus2 ribu. Really impressed!
Kak Lynn was the second testimonial. She had her own biz but she finds it is not profitable. This biz captured her attention with its own simple yet effective biz marketing plan. The last testimonial was from abang Al-Faath. Husband kak Salha. Yang dulu tak supportive, but in the end join jugak biz ni. He was in IT field, doing graphics, photography etc. And at one point dulu, pelik tengok isteri sendiri work from home je tapi earning income berpuluh ribu. Hence, he decided to learn and join this biz.
These testimonials show that anybody from any background can be in online / soho biz. Yang tak pandai cakap, lelaki, no biz background, yang takde kawan. Everyone has his/her own potential. Yang penting ilmu kena la dicari, and kalau boleh kena la ade mentor untuk guidance. So that takde la terkial2 and tersasar, tu yang melambatkan biz nak berjaya.
Sangat2 rugi to those yang tak datang SOHOBiz ni hari tu. Banyak yang you all missed out. Tapi hopefully, TLC and Irfan Khairi could collaborate more in the future and buat lagi event macam ni. Sangat2 beneficial.
